Just a quick rant. The Boniva commercials featuring Sally Field just kill me. She is selling you on Boniva, a once a month pill for bone loss for (I guess) women beginning, in, or after menopause. Isn't bone loss important enough to find something positive to say? I was interested. But the manufacturer (or their stupid ad agency) prefers to sell you on the once-a-month thing. Sally says something to the effect of, "I was telling my friend about Boniva, and she was telling me she has to schedule time once a week to take her prescription..." GIVE ME A BREAK! Sally, if your friend is having trouble "scheduling" time to take a prescription, she's got a WHOLE other group of problems you should be concerned about. I take two prescriptions a day, I think it takes 30 seconds tops. I think an intervention is called for and I'm left wondering what kind of friend you are that the whole conversation didn't strike you as odd. Oh well, evidently people in Hollywood, really have no time. Boniva, the rest of the American's Baby-Boomer women would appreciate an intelligent commercial aimed at the "purpose" of your product or leave us alone. We just don't have the time to watch "stupid."

I, too, would like to comment about this commerical for Boniva; after Sally Field acted with such disrespect on national TV at the awards ceremony how can the commerical keep running. I guess we can do anything or say anything and it's alright. But what about the example Sally is setting for young people growing up. I will never watch another movie or show she, Sally, appears in. I lost all respect for her when she acted this way on TV.
